Job Title: Trim Engineer

Job Location: MTO Div Central Offices (Juarez, MEX).

 

 

We are in position to offer a great job opportunity to work as Trim Engineer, based in MTO Div Central Offices (Juarez, MEX).

 

YOUR TASKS WILL BE

  • Coordinate product design and release to ensure robustness and manufacturability.
  • Provide support to manufacturing and/or assembly plants as required for various activities.
  • Participate in customer and platform conference calls.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and support the ETR sample cutting and sewing process.
  • Assemble and approve the design prior to release to manufacturing.
  • Comply with and enforce Plant safety policies and procedures, as well as ISO-14001, ISO-45001, IATF-16949 / ISO 9001, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and update DFMEAs and SWIs for assigned programs.
  • Create and update vehicle configuration and Fifth Scales.
  • Review and update activities in Profile / LearPro.
  • Upload, download, review information, create CRs/CNs and part numbers in the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) platform, including their structuring.
  • Create SPRs for new purchased parts / rolled goods.
  • Approve trim cover drawings and purchased parts.
  • Create Work Requests (WR).
  • Participate in ICR/CTO events to generate improvement ideas.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams for continuous improvement (problem-solving techniques).
  • Obtain approval for ETR / PTR / ECC.
  • Ensure availability of certified complete assemblies for product development.
  • Provide support during PTR runs.
  • Perform tolerance stack-up analysis when required.
  • Coordinate program transfers between regions.
  • Follow up on the resolution of issues identified during the PDFA process.
  • Ensure application of 5S principles.
  • Interpret concavity, deformation, seam deviation analysis, and scanning reports.
  • Register materials in the TES database.
  • Approve color schemes (when applicable).
  • Ensure participation in Industry 4.0 projects.
  • Ensure compliance with, follow-up, and support of the operating model.
  • Follow up on PO (Purchase Order) creation and material procurement.
  • Present design reviews.
  • Prepare quotations for engineering changes.
  • Support consolidation of information for new program quotations.
  • Generate cover sheets for Work Orders (WO).
  • Control the budget assigned to WOs for the program in charge.
  • Support additional activities as required by the department, including overtime and shift rotation.

 

  • TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Knowledge of Quality and Manufacturing systems.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong problem-solving techniques.
  • Planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of programming and macro development.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or product design and engineering change implementation.
  • Direct communication with customers.
  • Valid visa.

Preferred:

  • 3D software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, or Unigraphics
  • AutoCAD 2D
  • Experience using Teamcenter (PLM)
