Job Description

Manufacturing Industrial Optimization Engineering focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., plant location, personnel work flow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.) including:

  • Establishing methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
  • Conducting cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implements plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
  • Assisting manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design
  • May assist in establishing accident prevention measures and manage production operations training programs for plant personnel

Responsibilities

An Experienced Professional (P2) applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities typically include:

  • Works independently with general supervision
  • Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex
  • May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree / Engineering (Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, related field).

Experience Requirements

  • 2+ Years on similar positions within the automotive industry. (Wire Harness is a plus)
