TOOLING ENGINEER - 1ST SHIFT
EL PASO, TEXAS - PLANT

 

As a member of the El Paso Plant team, the Junior Tooling Engineer will be responsible for: Repair and maintain tool conditions for productivity and ability to work on all equipment in the machine shop.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Mold repair and PM.

Machining & assembly support as needed and approved.

Organize and track repairs and PM.

Implement continuous improvement.

Repair and maintain molds as required

Ability to machine, weld, spot, repair hot runner systems and diamond polish molds.

Ability to program brother and HAAS machining centers

Maintain knowledge of all safety devices and procedures, including lockout procedures.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with company standards.

Follow systems for TS16949 and ISO14001REQUIREMENTS

Your Qualifications (Minimum Qualifications):

Engineer degree or related BD.

General understanding of mechanics

Familiar with die/ mold structure principle and able to repair complex molds independently

Have the ability of daily mold maintenance

Familiar with relevant knowledge and skills required by automotive electrical industry

Have at least 3 years working experience in mold maintenance

Strong sense of responsibility, strong self-discipline, strong teamwork ability.

Strong ability to problem solving and identify defective parts

 

Bonus If You Have (Preferred Qualifications):

RJG/tool instrumentation

Strong Knowledge of engineering principals and manufacturing process

Tool Design

CAD/SolidWorks

Experience with hydraulic pneumatic core pull

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings / blueprints

Knowledge of engineered resins / materials properties

Excellent communication and team works skills
