Job Description
As a member of the Lear Farwell Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring plant equipment and facilities are operational and meet health & safety and production requirements; including the supervision of staff, assuring the quality of work, providing needed supplies and components, scheduling work, and the accurate documentation of work scheduled and completed.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to department associates and create a positive, safe work environment for maximizing employee development, effectiveness and efficiency
- Deliver safety training for proper access and use of equipment and audits individuals’ safety performance in accordance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety policies
- Implement Reliability Engineer’s control plans for preventative, precision and predictive maintenance
- Work with maintenance team to craft effective job tasks for repair work orders and routine inspections
- Create and administer job packages that include task instructions, safety requirements and permits, special tool requirements, kitted parts list, priority, and timing.
- Audits the execution of critical repairs and inspections for accuracy and completeness
- Maintains the Work in Planning (WIP) and Work Ready to Schedule (WRTS) backlog
- Provides daily work schedules, including job packages, to all maintenance and tooling associates
- Works with suppliers to ensure that parts arrive on time and as ordered
- Ensures that maintenance and tooling associates accurately and consistently input required data into MP2
- Maintains the daily and weekly resource availability schedules
- Works within the corporate purchasing system to maintain effective spare parts inventory
- All other duties assigned by supervisor
- Majority of work is indoors
- Direct the work of Maintenance and Tooling associates. Evaluate, discipline and reward as needed
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent in verified experience and training
- Excellent safety record.Facility with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and MP2 (Maintenance software)
- Ability to complete and maintain department records and reports
- Verified supervisory and maintenance experience in positions of increasing responsibility
Bonus If You Have:
- Reactive molding experience with polyurethane
- Tooling Experience
- Experience working with dynamic groups
- Experience in the Automotive Industry
