We have a great opportunity as a CTPAT & VAT certifications supervisor based in our Corporate offices in Juarez, Chihuahua.
As a CTPAT & VAT Certifications supervisor you will have the opportunity to ensure the proactive compliance with customs regulations, lead the implementation of security programs, as well as border customs matters and ensure full compliance with the tax provisions of VAT certification, and CTPAT & OEA programs..
YOUR MAIN RESPONISIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Manage tax and customs compliance in foreign trade operations, through strategic supervision and alignment with regulatory requirements of certifications.
- Execute and lead on-site reviews and compliance audits across U.S. plants, distribution centers, and eligible foreign suppliers, strengthening operational readiness and ensuring alignment with CBP validation requirements and corporate trade compliance standards.
- CTPAT and AEO MX filling profiles experience
- Conduct and lead on-site reviews and compliance audits Mexican customs brokers and cross-dock operations in Mexico, strengthening operational readiness and ensuring alignment with AEO & CTPAT validation requirements and security standards, as well as responding to their supply chain security questionnaires.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU NEED:
- Bachelor’s in international Trade, International Business, or Customs Law, master's degree or diploma in Foreign Trade or Risk Management highly desirable.
- 3+ years in customs and tax compliance roles within multinational companies or customs brokerage firms.
- Proven experience in the implementation, maintenance, and validation of CTPAT and OEA security programs
- Analytical thinking and risk-based approach to identify deviations and design controls.
- Assertive communication and ability to report directly to senior management.
- Leadership of multidisciplinary teams and coordination of internal and external audits.
- CTPAT- AEO & VAT certifications are an added asset.
- Excellent recordkeeping, as well as written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
- Excellent leadership, proactiveness and team player.
