R&D Dye Lab Tech – 2nd SHIFT

GUILFORD TEXTILES, KENANSVILLE,

 

As a member of the R&D team, the Dye-Lab Tech, performs all dye laboratory task pertinent to the operation.

Must be efficient in the use of a spectrophotometer and have general knowledge of laboratory procedures.

Must be able to lead team and make sound decisions based on the best practices of the department and the company with little direction.

 

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Ability to multitask  and work in a fast-paced environment using sound and safe work habits.
  • Able to perform required laboratory tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Able to operate AutoLab dispensor and Solution Maker.
  • Able to program Ahiba beaker dyeing machines with thorough background of dyeing procedures and programs.
  • Maintain inventory of dyes and chemicals in lab.
  • Have general knowledge of sample jet dyeing, train to run sample jets, and be prepared to run sample jets with a 48-hr notice.

Your Qualifications:

  • Self-Motivation, leadership skills, interpersonal skills.
  • Computer knowledge – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Good mathematical (metric) and laboratory skills
  • Good concept of color. Must pass Munsell Color Test by 10 or less.
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must be able to pass Background and Drug Screening
  • Ability to lift  up to 50 pounds and to stand for a prolonged amount of time.

 

Bonus If You Have:

  • Knowledge of applicable dyes and chemicals and basic knowledge of analytical (defect analysis) procedures is a plus.
