Job Description
You coordinate the end-to-end material flow in a Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing environment, ensuring the right parts arrive at the right time with zero disruption to production. You work closely with production, suppliers, and transport partners to maintain lean inventory and high service levels.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure on-time delivery aligned with JIT production schedules.
- Manage daily transport plans, carrier communication, and shipment tracking to avoid delays or line stoppages.
- Monitor inventory levels and trigger replenishment to maintain minimal stock without risking shortages.
- Collaborate with production planners and suppliers to align delivery windows and adjust to demand changes.
- Resolve logistics disruptions quickly, including shortages, urgent shipments, and transport issues.
- Analyze logistics performance (OTIF, lead times, costs) and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Maintain accurate data in ERP or transport systems to support real-time visibility and decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all logistics activities.
Experience Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or production support in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in a Just-in-Time (JIT) or Automotive lean manufacturing setup.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and transport or warehouse management tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and indirect leadership ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced plant environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
