Overview
The Materials Analyst is responsible for controlling material flow to ensure 100% on‑time delivery to customers, zero material shortages, and achievement of financial and inventory targets. The role works cross‑functionally to support uninterrupted production and logistics excellence.
Key Tasks
- Control and monitor material movement to prevent shortages and production stoppages.
- Coordinate engineering changes with customers, planners, engineering, warehouse, and production teams.
- Ensure 100% stock accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and discrepancy resolution.
- Track and resolve at‑risk materials, including escalation management for stop shipments.
- Schedule materials according to customer demand while controlling inventory levels and month‑end targets.
- Maintain zero loader errors, supplier discrepancies, and booking issues.
- Monitor supplier performance, attend reviews with underperforming suppliers, and ensure zero arrears.
- Control scrap levels and manage supplier returns related to quality claims.
- Ensure compliance with logistics governance, authorization processes, and cost controls.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Material Planner in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of material planning, inventory control, and logistics processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Fluent Spanish and English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
