Job Title: Materials Manager

We are in position to offer a great job opportunity to work as Materials Manager, based in Torreon, Coahuila. (E-Systems Division).
As Materials Manager your objective will be creation, implementation, and monitoring of production and materials control systems, covering the entire process from expediting, receiving, storage, and timely and adequately quantified supply, as well as production scheduling and on-time shipment of finished products to customers, with minimal transportation, inventory, and obsolescence costs.
Your tasks will be:
- Control inventory of raw materials and finished goods, maintaining high reliability against the inventory system.
- Provide the necessary materials to meet the production schedule in both time and quantity.
- Ensure a leveled production schedule that meets customer requirements and allows efficient plant operation.
- Ensure that the MPS load aligns with customer release analysis for raw material purchasing.
- Follow up on engineering changes and model year transitions to protect both customers and the plant, minimizing premium freight and obsolescence impact.
- Define the weekly production plan together with the management staff (SIOP meetings).
- Measure adherence to production schedules and establish corrective actions jointly with Manufacturing if targets are not met.
- Coordinate semiannual physical inventories.
- Ensure compliance with material processes according to company policies.
- Monitor parameters such as Inventory Value, ATR, Premium Freight, E&O, delivery rating, and downtime, and establish corrective and improvement actions.
- Ensure inventory availability through material follow-up with suppliers
- Ensuring timely and accurate material supply to assembly lines.
To Be Successful In This Role You Must Have
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, business management, international trade, or any related field.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse management.
- Experience in automotive industry (a plus in wire harness industry)
- Knowledge in inventory management, logistics and customer service.
- Advanced English Level (bilingual)
- Availability to travel.
