Job Description
As a Logistics Manager, you will lead the logistics function for a manufacturing plant and play a key role in the successful launch of new projects. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will oversee supply chain operations, transportation, inventory management, production planning, and customer deliveries while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the logistics team by recruiting, training, and managing performance to support business objectives.
- Design and implement end-to-end logistics strategies covering inbound supplier flows, outbound distribution, transportation, and warehousing operations.
- Manage supplier logistics activities, including delivery solutions, logistics protocols, cost analysis, and system parameter setup.
- Coordinate import and export operations while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, tariffs, procedures, and international trade requirements.
- Establish and maintain production planning and scheduling processes, including Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and material replenishment systems.
- Oversee inventory management, cycle counts, plant-wide physical inventories, and the administrative and quantitative receipt of raw materials.
- Monitor production and logistics performance, ensuring capacity alignment, timely customer deliveries, transfer management, and phase-out activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality standards, including IATF, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certifications
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a Logistics Manager or similar supply chain leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in the automotive industry, ideally within seating, trim, textile, or related production operations.
- Strong expertise in international trade, transportation management, customs processes, inventory control, and warehouse operations.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional teams within matrix organizations and managing high-performing logistics teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English, with proficiency in MS Project and ERP systems such as MFG/PRO.
