Position overview:
To be a member of the AME team for the JIT Seating Operations project in the Middle East for the new Project / Launch. Working within the AME team specifically on the Industrialization of the 2 projects. The role will be focused on delivering the complete project to a successful conclusion from the initial design / development phases (Product / process and Equipment), equipment specification, procurement & installation / commissioning, then supporting SOP and launch.
Key Responsibilities:
Plant Equipment / Purchasing Support (With AME and Central Purchasing)
- Facility Detailing (Equipment lists)
- Equipment Specifications
- Equipment supplier selections meetings (With Lear Central Purchasing)
- Equipment Purchasing support (Supplier selection / PO)
- Equipment supplier progress meetings / support
- DFMEA of equipment
Project management
- Project management to meet customer milestones.
- PAR support and Process book revisions
- Timing Plan updates / management to meet all milestones
- Internal Launch Readiness Reviews
Support the facilities development
- Involved in Architectural / Building layout support (With Lear Facilities Dept) from equipment / installation perspective
Key skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive assembly manufacturing processes
- Hands-on experience with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial equipment
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%)
- Fluent English – verbal and written
- Strong background working with production lines, conveyors, and finished goods flow
- Competence in automation systems, especially TIA Portal and Siemens platforms
- Working knowledge of ABB robotics
- Experience with vision systems (Keyence / Cognex)
- Nice to have: exposure to virtual commissioning tools and methodologies
