We are looking for an experienced CAD Design Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of next-generation automotive interior and seating systems.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain 3D designs and assemblies using CATIA V5/V6
- Develop detailed 2D drawings and technical documentation
- Design and develop automotive interior and seating components
- Perform packaging studies, feasibility assessments, and concept evaluations
- Conduct DMU analyses and engineering reviews
- Ensure designs meet customer, legal, and ergonomic requirements
- Support the complete product development process from concept through production launch
- Collaborate with Product Engineers, Project Engineers, customers, and manufacturing teams
- Manage engineering data and releases within PLM systems
- Support design validation, prototype builds, and engineering change activities
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Product Development, or a related technical discipline
Experience Requirements
- Several years of experience in automotive design engineering
- Advanced CATIA V5/V6 design experience
- Strong background in automotive trim or seating systems
- Experience designing plastic injection-moulded components and assemblies
- Understanding of automotive product development processes from RFQ through SOP
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into robust design solutions
- Experience working within OEM or Tier 1 automotive environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
