Your responsibilities:

  • Creating and keeping the sourcing calendar up to date.
  • Building or reviewing costed BOMs and comparing cost status against targets.
  • Acting as a communication link between Engineering/Program teams and European Commodity Purchasing, as well as suppliers — ensuring timely sharing of drawings, engineering data, and commercial program information.
  • Supporting local plants with supplier‑related challenges (deliveries, commercial topics, etc.), including escalation to the Commodity Manager if needed.
  • Preparing program reports, maintaining purchasing data, and taking part in program review meetings.
  • Providing program‑related inputs for initial sourcing/resourcing processes and supporting contract negotiations; updating roadmaps (volumes/mix) and maintaining data in local systems.
  • Supporting supplier development, especially with PPAP-related activities.
  • Driving cost‑saving initiatives: proposing ideas, leading purchasing-related cost optimization tasks, participating in lean assessments, and supporting benchmarking or in/out‑sourcing analyses.
  • Working with plant logistics teams to optimize freight and packaging topics.
  • Supporting plants in managing excess or obsolete materials with suppliers.

Your qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing or a similar field.
  • Strong English skills; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
  • University degree (BSc/BA) or comparable practical/technical experience.
  • Good command of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • German language skills are a plus.

We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of purchasing knowledge, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset.
