Job Description

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering team and support the development of electrical seat systems for global automotive customers.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development and integration of seat wiring harness solutions from concept through serial production. Working closely with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams, you will ensure wiring harness designs meet customer specifications, quality standards, manufacturing requirements, and program milestones.

This position is ideal for an engineer who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with project coordination in an international automotive environment.

Responsibilities

Seat Wiring Harness Development

• You are responsible for the development of the seat wiring harness from the prototype phase to the series production phase
• Take care of customer requirements from pre-series to start of production.
• Responsibility for managing the assigned project from its assignment by the customer to the start of serial production.
• Creation of a project plan, supervision of compliance with project deadlines and goals, while reporting to a superior.
• Participation in the preparation & updating of technical documentation
• Design and implementation of design solutions to meet customer requirements and legislative requirements
• Analyzing the causes of defects and discrepancies
• Monitoring and registration of product deficiencies and participation in their elimination in cooperation with the internal SME team.
• Representation of the Technical Center in Pilsen in communication with the customer - we negotiate with the internal customer within Lear Corporation.

Experience Requirements

What do we need from you? (Must Have)

• At least high school education (electrical, mechanical, or comparable)
• Experience of 3-5 years in industrial project working (ideally automotive)
• Practical experience in construction of electronic systems (soldering, crimping, harness preparation)
• Communicative level of English is mandatory, German would be nice to have
• Creative technical thinking "outside of the box“
• Independent, reliable and structured way of working
• Regular travelling to our plants and technic centers in Czech Republic and Germany
