Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate engineering activities throughout the product development process, from RFQ and concept phase through SOP and launch support
- Act as a key technical interface between customers, engineering teams, and other internal stakeholders
- Manage project timing, deliverables, risks, and technical requirements to ensure successful project execution
- Coordinate design, validation, manufacturing, and quality activities throughout development
- Support technical reviews, feasibility studies, engineering changes, and problem-solving activities
- Monitor project progress and communicate status, risks, and recovery plans to management and customers
- Ensure customer requirements are translated into robust engineering solutions
- Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions throughout the development cycle
- Collaborate with international engineering and program teams across multiple locations
Education Requirements
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automotive product development, project engineering, or a similar engineering role
- Experience with automotive interiors and/or seating systems
- Proven knowledge of the full product development lifecycle, from RFQ through SOP and launch support
- Experience working directly with OEM or Tier 1 automotive customers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken. German language is an advantage.
