Material Handler - 1st Shift

MATERIAL HANDLER
PLYMOUTH INDIANA – PLYMOUTH WAREHOUSE

As a member of the materials team, the Material Handler will be responsible for operating a forklift to load, unload freight trailers and locate and order all product within the facility.  

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

• Load and unload freight in an efficient and safe manner with fork truck.
• Pull, stage and scan freight for shipments, and run paperwork and load scan as required.
• Ensure customer requirement are fulfilled in reference to packaging, banding, labeling, and wrapping.
• Ensure that the exact number and type of product is loaded and shipped.
• Use scanners and systems to print shipping and receiving labels and maintain correct product location.
• Verifying all in and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
• Cycle counting and periodic inventory.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Ability to count accurately and perform simple math.
• Capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to get on and off a fork truck throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Bonus If You Have:

•  Experience in a warehouse environment
•  Fork truck experience
