Job Description

As a member of the Seating team, the Sales Manager will be responsible for overall commercial ownership of new and awarded business for their assigned customer base.  This position will also require leadership qualities to logically work through issues, responsible for key account managemet, customer support, understand the general market and trends and provide strategic feedback to assist in decision making for the sales organization.

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead key growth and account management initiatives in assigned product lines & customer basis
  • Support the development & execution of specific customer strategies in support of, and in collaboration with regional, global sales strategies and goals
  • Establish & grow solid relationships with key customers including purchasing, engineering, and other relevant functions
  • Support tech shows, technical presentations, and marketing efforts at OEM, Tier and internal customers
  • Build Lear internal relationships with key global engineering & commercial team members
  • Travel as required to customer plants, fabric plants, and other locations
  • Support overall fabric organization through various reporting, system and other functions
  • Growing margin on awarded programs
  • Seeking out new business opportunities
  • Growing the top line revenue for assigned customers
  • Processing and creating quotations to our customers
  • Follow up on quality or material delivery concerns
  • Identify key decision makers at potential customers and develop business relationships in order to secure new business

Your Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering or business-related field
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive fabric for seating, overhead systems, and other applications
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of basic finance elements
  • Strong technical acumen
  • Ability to operate autonomously and proactively
  • Strong team player & ability to manage global cultures

Bonus If You Have

  • Spanish, Korean, or Japanese language skills
  • Textile engineering, program management, or quality experience
  • Seating, overhead systems, roller shade product experience
