Job Description

Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. Ensures cost effective procurement and delivery of material and service to support plant and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Negotiates long term agreements
• Develops strategy to achieve results
• Data driven analysis and negotiating techniques
• Familiarity with commercial terms and total cost management concepts required
• Superior conflict resolution skills and relationship management
• Strong written communication and presentation skills
• Key competencies for success in position include:

                - Negotiating principles/skills

                - High level integrity

                - Priority setting and time management

                - Action oriented / produces results

• Ability to work in a highly productive, constantly changing environment.
• Protecting or enhancing company margins by coordinating lowest cost sourcing, maintaining, or improving material margins through launch and driving post-launch cost reduction idea generation/implementation

Your Qualifications

• Requires minimum 5 years work experience. Automotive cross-functional experience a plus.
• BS/BA or equivalent experience
• Works independently, under general supervision. No supervisory responsibilities.
