SHOP FLOOR APPLICATION DEVELOPER
SOUTHFIELD, WORLD HEADQUARTERS
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Shop Floor Application Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in .NET development and a passion for modern cloud-native architectures, containerization, and the convergence of IT and OT systems. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and deploying scalable applications that bridge enterprise software with industrial devices and systems.
The Role:
Your work will include, but not be limited to:
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core, Blazor, etc.)
- Build and deploy containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
- Integrate cloud services (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for scalable and resilient solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to connect IT systems with OT devices (PLCs, sensors, SCADA, etc.)
- Develop APIs and microservices to support real-time data exchange between systems
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for streamlined development and deployment
- Ensure security, performance, and reliability across all layers of the application stack
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and agile ceremonies
Your Qualifications:
- Experience in full-stack .NET development
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Blazor)
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus)
- Experience with industrial protocols and OT systems (e.g., OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Atlassian Suite)
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and event-driven systems
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Bonus If You Have:
- Experience with edge computing and IoT platforms
- Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in IT/OT environments
- Certifications in Azure, AWS, or Kubernetes
- Experience with real-time data processing and analytics
