Mission of the Role:
To manage and develop the electromechanical commodity supply base in Europe by ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance, and alignment with company strategy. This includes supporting the full product lifecycle from sourcing to end-of-life, while driving savings and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the main contact for suppliers and internal teams for electromechanical commodities in Europe.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electromechanical components.
• Identify, develop, and manage suppliers in line with commodity strategy.
• Drive cost savings through negotiations and technical cost optimization initiatives (SCTO).
• Manage sourcing activities: RFQs, benchmarking, negotiations, bid analysis, and supplier selection.
• Support program teams and plants throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Engineering on supplier workshops to reduce costs.
• Ensure systems (SRM, SAP, Coupa) are up to date with pricing, contracts, and approvals.
• Monitor market trends and support alternative sourcing when needed.
• Help resolve supplier logistics and quality issues.
Key Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering or Business Administration (automotive or electromechanical experience preferred).
• Strong negotiation skills and fluent English.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
• Self-driven, reliable, and a team player.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
