Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Hardware Engineering Manager, the Hardware Engineer will be responsible for the design and verification of hardware schematics, including component selection in alignment with preferred suppliers and system interconnections. The role ensures full compliance with released technical requirements and contributes to design quality through reviews, simulations, analyses, and safety and cybersecurity deliverables. The Hardware Engineer will work closely with cross‑functional and international teams to support product development, validation, and release activities.
Job Description

Analyze, define, implement, document, and verify hardware requirements.

Perform low‑level hardware design and ensure accurate schematic development and release of technical documentation.

Select electronic components in compliance with technical, quality, and preferred supplier requirements.

Manage change requests, including issue identification, impact analysis, and supporting documentation.

Ensure hardware deliverables comply with project planning, quality standards, and internal development processes.

Apply Functional Safety procedures and techniques in line with organizational standards (ISO 26262 context).

Contribute to functional safety analyses and deliverables (FMEDA, FTA, DFMEA support, etc.).

Apply cybersecurity procedures and techniques as defined by the organization.

Coordinate and plan product validation activities.

Create test specifications based on applicable standards, guidelines, and customer requirements.

Support and conduct validation tests (environmental, electrical, connector systems, etc.).

Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.

Prepare test samples, including soldering and component assembly.

Document, evaluate, and present test results internally and externally.

Prepare release and validation reports.

Collaborate effectively within international development teams and with multiple project stakeholders.
To be successful for this role:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or equivalent.

1–2 years of experience in the automotive industry (hardware or electronics domain preferred).

Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
-
Ability to work effectively in cross‑functional and multicultural teams.

Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
