Position overview:

Reporting directly to the Process Engineering Supervisor, our future AI& Automation engineer will have as main missions to manage the manufacturing automation solutions.

Your missions:

• Develop and support standards for equipment, automation, controls, and manufacturing processes
• Design and implement custom solutions to optimize the manufacturing operations performance
• Lead installation and commissioning of equipment and projects at plant level.
• Design, build, and scale advanced AI solutions.
• Contribute to the creation of the industry iDEA playbook aligned with corporate strategy.
• Partner with business leaders to translate needs into clear project scopes, objectives, and success metrics
• Ensure solutions meet corporate standards for data quality, security, privacy, and regulatory compliance
• Stay ahead of the curve in machine learning and AI advancements
• Proactively identify business challenges and propose high-impact AI innovation projects
• Analytical and decisive to define, evaluate and solve problems in an organized process
• Support on‑site trials and feasibility studies across different locations
• Ensure full compliance with Lear EHS standards and local regulations.

 To be successful for this role: 

• Master’s in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience implementing advanced manufacturing solutions in operational environments.
• Programming: Python, SQL (.NET is an extra)
• Deep learning framework
• Strong technical problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication abilities
• Proficiency in both English & French languages, spoken and written
